Also yeah editing the ini file also did nothing, changing the modes also did nothing, so strange. I never get to leave vault 101, its always when you have to open the vault door. Its always at the exact same spot which is weird.
Oh Ive tried both those options, running in windows let it go like two steps forwards and just froze again. In your Fallout.ini file, if you haven't already, try changing iNumHWThreads=2 to iNumHWThreads=1 and see if that fixes the problem. There's also a bug in this game with the thread usage that can cause the game to crash a lot. Mcflymcmurderface: Have you tried running the game in windowed mode? It might sound strange, but that actually considerably reduces the number of crashes.
